Energy Financing through the Energy Project Assessment District (EPAD) Program
The Louisville Metro Government Office of Sustainability offers a program that helps property owners finance energy efficiency, renewable energy and water conservation measures. Here are a few program benefits:
Eligibility EPAD is only available to properties located within Jefferson County. Eligible property types include office, retail, industrial, agricultural, non-profits and multi-family residential units consisting of five (5) or more dwelling units. Commercial properties include for-profit businesses and non-governmental, non-residential, tax-exempt properties such as privately-operated community centers and hospitals. Projects must have a minimum cost of $20,000, a useful life of at least five (5) years and be permanently affixed to the property or building. The program is open to any licensed contractor or lender that would like to participate. |
