The ENERGY STAR Portfolio Manager Training held on May 23, 2017 at Spalding University was a huge success. There were almost 20 participants in attendance. The diverse crowd included property managers, consultants, business owners, and others interested in learning more about the energy tracking software. Participants were introduced to EPA's ENERGY STAR Portfolio Manager Tool. Through demonstration, they learned how to navigate Portfolio Manager, add a property and enter details about it, enter energy and water consumption data, and more.
Louisville Energy Alliance members, along with Kentucky Pollution Prevention Center Program Managers were there assisting the attendees.
Due to the positive responses from the attendees a Portfolio Manager II Training has been scheduled for June 28th, 2017. During this follow-up session participants will dive deeper into more advanced functionalities, such as managing and tracking changes to the property uses over time, using spreadsheet templates to update property data, setting goals and targets to plan energy improvements for properties, generating and using custom reports, and using the Sustainable Buildings Checklist.
